How to Use this Jeans Size Converter
The calculator is quite easy to use, here is what you need to do:
- Select the person’s gender (men or women)
- Specify the jeans size standard you want to convert from
- Select the original jeans size
- Specify the target jeans standard
- Press the ‘Calculate’ button to get the new size
For the US, the number provided by the calculator for men is the waist. You use it along with the inseam to get the appropriate jeans size for your body.
Please keep in mind that the calculation result will be ‘NA’ if there is no equivalent jeans size available in the target standard.
In case you’re not sure about your size, you can get the waist measurement using a measuring tape.
The Included Jeans Size Standards
Depending on the gender, the calculator will allow you to convert between five different size systems in addition to the waist measurement in centimeters and inches.
For men, you have a system for each of US, Europe and Japan/Korea.
For women, there is a standard for US, UK, Europe, Italy, Japan and Korea.
Please note that Canada and Mexico always use the US system for jeans sizes. The UK (and Australia) follows the US standard for men but utilizes a separate system for women.
How the Jeans Size Converter Works
The calculator here uses jeans size charts for converting the jeans size for all standards. While a lot of the data is based on Wikipedia, some is the result of analyzing many pants size charts provided by jeans brands.
