Blog Contributor Guidelines

Are you ready to showcase your work to a community of over 11,000 monthly readers?

We always welcome nicely written contributions for our blog.

Before submitting a pitch or draft, please check our already published articles to get an idea of what we’re looking for.

Following are the detailed requirements for both the contributor and the content along with the pitching process and contributors agreements.

Contributor Requirements

The contributor should satisfy the following:

  • Has over one year of experience in writing high-quality online content with author bio.
  • Has at least one active and public social media profile.
  • Already covers lifestyle topics that can fit the theme of our blog though don’t necessarily need to be a perfect match.
  • Fluent in the English language (don’t need to be a native English speaker).

Content Requirements

The submitted content should satisfy the following:

  • The article should obviously be in English.
  • The article should be focused on one main topic only.
  • The content is original and never been published before.
  • The content should provide useful information for the online reader.
  • The topic should makes sense for our blog (don’t need to be on the exact same topics).
  • The content should be formatted properly for online readers e.g. sub-headings, short sentences/paragraphs, lists, tables, images…….etc (check out this article for reference).
  • The content should not include any personal stories and should never include anything that’s written in the first person except ‘we’ (e.g. my, I, us, ours…..etc)
  • The content should never contain anything that’s generated using AI or artificial intelligence (you can still use AI as a supportive writing tool e.g. for generating an outline or brainstorming a topic).
  • The content should mainly revolve around analyzing many numerical data samples from online research and then coming up with calculated numbers that tell an interesting story or conclusion (e.g. size of beach balls).
  • The data samples can be gathered from almost anywhere online including but not limited to social media platforms, online forums, eCommerce retailers, and academic journals.
  • The number of data samples used should be enough to be representative for a more accurate calculation, though there is no specific minimum and it depends entirely on the total population size (e.g. the sample size can be as low as about 200 or even fewer, and as high as tens of thousands if not more).
  • The title should not be too long.
  • The content should include all the references used for any facts or data added.
  • The content should include links to only highly authoritative sources (absolutely nothing spammy).
  • The content length should be between around 400 and 1,000 words (excluding any tables and references).
  • The content should include a relevant featured image from either Pexels, Unsplash, or Pixabay.
  • The featured image should be free to use and has about 1.5 width/height ratio.
