How to Use this Country Size Comparison Generator
The tool is actually quite easy to use. You just need to choose a country (or US state) from the dropdown list and add it to the chart for size comparison. With respect to removing any figure, you can achieve that under the ‘Remove’ tab.
Please note also you can modify the position of any figure on the chart by dragging.
It’s worth noting there is a maximum number of 4 figures that can be added to the chart. Of course, you can always remove existing figures if you reach the limit and want to add new ones.
In order to get the best visual results for comparing country sizes, try to do the following:
- When using a mobile device, make the view horizontal (i.e. landscape orientation)
- Access the tool from a computer or large tablet if at all possible
The Countries that are Available Inside the Tool
The tool will allow you to compare the size of 180 countries, 21 dependencies, all US states and Antarctica. The countries are organized based on the continent to make the search easier.
Some examples of the included countries are the following; Albania, Australia, Canada, China, Denmark, Morocco, Iceland, India, Japan, Madagascar, Sudan, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and United Kingdom. Greenland (the world’s largest island) is also included along with Antarctica.
As mentioned, all 50 states of the US are included such as California, Florida, New York, Colorado, Texas, Montana and Michigan.

The country/state sizes were calculated based on the Northernmost and Southernmost points. We tried our best to have precise coordinates. However, since we’re talking here kilometers and miles, there is probably no need for perfect accuracy.
Conclusion
Whatever countries, dependencies or US states you want to compare the size between, this accurate online tool will help you out. You just need to choose the desired countries and add them to the chart.
It’s worth mentioning the chart axis shows the height measurement in both metric (i.e. kilometers) and imperial units (i.e. miles). So, you won’t need to worry about unit conversion.
